Ran (1985)
Povestea filmului Ran este o adaptare Regelui Lear, combinata cu o veche legenda japoneza despre trei sageti. Rezultatul este transformarea substantiala a tragediei shakespeariene - fiicele lui Lear sunt acum fii si accentul cade mai mult pe razbunare decat pe catharsis.
